Pool: There is something about a complex that offers a pool that pulls at me (in a good way!). They always make the complex more aesthetically pleasing. Not to mention a pool comes with a lot of upkeep. It makes me feel more comfortable about how the inside of the apartments are up kept.

Sometimes, you can negotiate to have utilities included with your rent, although, this might result in a slightly higher monthly rent.
